Our impact is about what becomes possible when people are supported.
At SunshineFLO, impact isn't just a number on a report. It's a family that feels more prepared. A child who finds confidence through movement. A community worker who gains new skills. A partnership that makes resources easier to access.
We are building a model of community wellness that connects maternal support, youth development, education, and meaningful relationships.
A place to show up as yourself
Families deserve support.
We work to improve access to nonmedical doula support and maternal health education so families can navigate pregnancy and postpartum with more information and connection.
Young people deserve room to grow.
Through youth wellness and educational programming, we create opportunities for movement, literacy, self-expression, confidence, and belonging.
Community care providers deserve opportunities to learn.
Through workshops and doula education, we aim to strengthen practical knowledge, reflective practice, and connections between people doing community-centered work.
Wellness should be part of everyday life.
We draw on holistic approaches that recognize the relationships between physical, emotional, social, intellectual, spiritual, environmental, and occupational well-being.Growing together
Our community roots
SunshineFLO's work includes the development of Yoga for Youth, community-based maternal health initiatives, and educational experiences grounded in connection and growth. Our history includes youth wellness programming in Stark County and professional experience in maternal health training, curriculum development, and community engagement.
We continue to develop our programs, strengthen partnerships, and establish the systems needed to document their reach and effectiveness.
How we measure progress
We want to measure more than attendance. We want to understand whether our programs are useful, accessible, responsive, and meaningful to the people who participate.
Depending on the program, we may track:
Families referred, enrolled, and served.
Doula service milestones and completed encounters, as applicable.
Participant feedback and self-reported experience.
Youth program participation and engagement.
Workshop attendance and learning outcomes.
Training completion and continued learning.
Community partnerships and referral connections.
Accessibility, satisfaction, and opportunities for improvement.
We will share verified outcomes as data becomes available and can be reported responsibly.
Help grow the impact.
Our work grows through relationships with families, healthcare professionals, educators, community organizations, funders, and volunteers. You can help by connecting a family to support, hosting a workshop, referring a community partner, or investing in accessible wellness and education.
Every community has room for more sunshine.
We are building toward a future where maternal care, youth wellness, creative learning, and community connection can flourish together.
Thank you for being part of the journey!
